You are washing your hair regularly but noticing that it still gets greasy throughout the day. Why? Before you decide to give up and throw on a hat we are going to help you learn about the most common reasons why you might have too much oil in your hair.

To begin, there is a chance that you simply have oily skin. It might just be your genetics. Though they are tough, there are ways to combat genetics. To maintain the right balance, you need to reduce the amount of oil on your hair and scalp. You can try something like a daily strengthening shampoo which deep cleans and reduces dirt and excess oil but gently with things like vitamin E, amino acids, peppermint, and tea tree oil.

The reason could also be the fact that you have fine or thinning hair. If this is the case you need to wash your hair every 1-2 days. Doing so will cut back on oil and prevent an overly greasy, shiny look. Using conditioner is also critical if you have fine or thinning hair. Conditioner protects and moisturizes your hair. Conditioner will not add grease to your hair but instead will help maintain the right balance of oil, moisture, and shine. While it may not be possible to change your fine or thinning hair choosing the right products will make a huge difference.

The third reason why you might be suffering from greasy hair is because you are stressed out. Yes, your stress levels impact everything! If you are stressed out, your hair and skin are going to suffer. Focus on self-care and that is different for everyone. Working out, meditating, reading, stretching, cooking, playing an instrument, etc. are all ways to help your overall health. It sounds silly but it is true! Take a step back, relax, prioritize you and you will be surprised at how much your overall health changes.
